Long Hollow Reserve (Frankston): Located near the Frankston Foreshore, Long Hollow Reserve has a dedicated off-leash dog beach area where your pup can enjoy the water and socialize with other dogs.

Hawker Beach (Mount Martha): It is one of the most gorgeous hidden beaches on the Peninsula.

Flinders Beach (Flinders): Tucked away amidst towering rock formations, Flinders Beach stands as a dog-friendly haven in Melbourne, complete with ample seaweed for your furry friend to frolic with. The off-leash dog-friendly area of this beach is located to the north of Dodds Creek, offering an inviting space for your canine companion to enjoy.

Ricketts Point (Beaumaris): This beautiful coastal area in Beaumaris offers a dog-friendly beach where your pet can explore the rocky shoreline and shallow waters.

Half Moon Bay (Black Rock): While dogs must be on a leash at Half Moon Bay, there’s a designated off-leash area to the west of the main beach. It’s an excellent place for dogs to play and paddle in the shallows.

Hampton Dog Beach (Hampton): This sandy stretch in Hampton allows dogs to be off-leash at certain times, making it a fantastic spot for both dogs and their owners to enjoy the seaside.

Brighton Dog Beach (Green Point, Brighton): Located near Brighton Beach, this off-leash beach is a favorite among dog owners. It offers beautiful views of the iconic Brighton Beach bathing boxes and provides plenty of space for your dog to run and play.

West Beach (St Kilda): West Beach in St Kilda has a designated dog beach area where your four-legged friend can roam off-leash. It’s a great spot for a leisurely stroll or a game of fetch.

Mentone Beach: A generous stretch of the beach is designated as an off-leash area, exclusively reserved for dogs to roam on the sandy shores. Visitors are encouraged to utilize the barbecue facilities situated to the south of the beach, and relish a delightful picnic within the charming small grassy expanse nearby.

Altona Beach (Altona): The western end of Altona Beach (PA Burns Reserve) is a designated off-leash dog area. It’s a picturesque spot for a day at the beach with your dog.

Mornington Peninsula – Multiple Beaches: The Mornington Peninsula offers several dog-friendly beaches. Some popular options include Portsea, Rye, Royal Beach and Rosebud beaches, each with specific off-leash areas. Keast Park Dog beach at Seaford and Tassels Cove, Safety Beach are also great.

Lorne Dog Beach (Lorne): A designated off-leash area in Lorne, this beach is perfect for dogs to frolic in the surf and sand. Additionally, the section of the beach north of Grove Road and south of Bay Street permits dogs at certain times. 

Eastern Beach (Geelong): At Eastern Beach, dogs are allowed on-leash, and there’s a playground for kids and a scenic promenade for a leisurely walk.

St Leonards Beach (St Leonards): This serene beach on the Bellarine Peninsula provides a dog-friendly zone for your pet to enjoy.

Fisherman’s Bay (Torquay): head directly east to Whites Beach, located on the opposite bank of Deep Creek, where dogs are welcome off-leash throughout the entire year.

Kilcunda Ocean Beach (Kilcunda): Kilcunda Ocean Beach is a peaceful, dog-friendly spot nestled among the sand dunes and cliffs of South Gippsland.

Barwon Heads Beach (Barwon Heads): Dogs are allowed off-leash on the western end of Barwon Heads Beach. It’s a fantastic place for dogs to play and swim.

The Causeway, Cowes (Phillip Island): Located on Phillip Island, The Causeway is a pet-friendly beach where dogs can enjoy the sand and waves.

Ventnor Dog Beach (Phillip Island): The Ventnor Dog Beach, also referred to as Graydens Road Beach, is positioned between the terminuses of Ventnor Beach Road and Graydens Road.

Sandridge Beach (Port Melbourne): Close to Melbourne’s city center, Sandridge Beach offers an off-leash area for dogs to run and play, with stunning city views as a backdrop.

Logans Beach (Warrnambool): Situated directly beneath the well-known Logans Beach Whale Watching Platform, Logans Beach is found on the eastern bank of the Hopkins River.
