Blairgowrie Main Beach
This is a Family-friendly, calm, and safe beach.

Pearse’s Beach
Is secluded, peaceful, and perfect for those seeking a quiet escape. Located between Sorrento and Rye, Pearse’s Beach is at the back beach of Blairgowrie between Dimmicks Beach and Bridgewater Bay. During low tide, you can explore rock pools teeming with crabs, starfish, and other fascinating creatures.
The coastline at Pearse’s Beach boasts rugged and untamed beauty. To one side, you’ll marvel at the majestic Cape Shank, standing tall and regal, while on the other, your gaze will be drawn to the distant silhouette of Cape Otway. Both directions offer awe-inspiring panoramas that remind you of the sheer wonder of nature.

Park your car at the terminus of Pearses Road. From here you can veer left to embrace the path leading to Rye, or turn right to embark on a scenic route toward Sorrento. The choice is yours.
Northern Blairgowrie Coastal Areas / Foreshore Coves
This beach can be reached with a 5-10 minutes’ walk north along the foreshore.
Facilities: Minimal.
Activities: Rockpooling, beachcombing, shoreline walks.
Small Bay / Hidden Foreshore Coves (Secret Beaches)
This tiny beach is tucked-away with almost no visitors. Its located at the north of Blairgowrie Main Beach, along the foreshore.
Bird Rock / Bluff Point (Secret Scenic Spots)
This secret spot is just a 5-7 minutes’ drive towards south. The place offers stunning views of the bay, Sorrento cliffs, and seabirds and is beautiful at sunrise and sunset.
Cape Schanck to Blairgowrie Coastal Walk
This is a moderately challenging trail that leads from the southern cliffs of Cape Schanck northwards to Blairgowrie. Along the way, you’ll see rugged sandstone cliffs, coastal heath, and panoramic views of the bay. A true hidden gem for solitude, offering calm waters and natural coastal vegetation.
Rye Foreshore Reserve
Just a short drive north, this reserve offers boardwalks and picnic areas with access to calm waters, perfect for families.
These trails are not just walks; they are an invitation to observe the changing colours of the sea, watch local birdlife, and pause to hear the gentle lapping of waves.
